Initial Pilot Flight Training
Types Of Training
There are 2 ways to get to the Airline Transport Pilot licence issue, the Integrated and the Modular.
INTEGRATED training is a single, comprehensive and full time in classroom course. The continuous oversight allows the course to be conducted in 14 months and with high quality of graduates. The training is more demanding and for those able to follow it there are two powerful advantages:
-
Integrated course graduates have a more consistent quality. This is translated into being among the successful when looking for a job. Airline sponsorships are integrated courses.
-
You enter the job market sooner because integrated training is quicker which also reduces your cost of living over the total time of your training.
MODULAR training is performed in parts (modules). Whilst there are time limits in the order the modules are completed, there is no need to undertake them continuously. The ground school may be performed by distance learning.
The Modular route tends to appeal to those with an existing career, as they can continue to work whilst training. The modules can be spread over several years if needed for financial or leave reasons.
