A very valuable experience. The hands-on drills and use of real equipment made the training highly effective and relevant to my role.
The Fire Fighting Training course is designed to equip aviation personnel with the knowledge and practical skills required to prevent, identify, and effectively respond to fire emergencies. The program combines theoretical instruction with hands-on training in realistic conditions, ensuring participants are fully prepared to act quickly and safely.
The course includes fire prevention and surveillance techniques, as well as practical fire-fighting exercises in a smoke-filled environment. Trainees gain experience using protective breathing equipment, fire axes, and fire-fighting gloves while managing live fire scenarios.
Participants are also trained in the classification of fires (Classes 1–4), the correct selection and use of fire-fighting agents, and effective communication procedures within the crew and with external fire brigades.
Emphasis is placed on safety, coordination, and decision-making under pressure, ensuring a high level of preparedness for real-life emergency situations.
