Course Training Outline
- 1 hour Pre-FI Assessment Flight
- 25 hours of Teaching and Learning Activities
- Minimum of 100 hours of Theoretical Knowledge Instruction, which includes regular progress assessments
- At least 30 hours of Flight Instruction, comprising:
- 25 hours of dual flight instruction
- Up to 5 hours of flight training may be conducted using a Full Flight Simulator (FFS), FNPT I or II, or an FTD Level 2/3
- At least 10 hours of instrument flight training on the relevant aircraft category, with no more than 5 hours counted as instrument ground time in a Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD).
- Completion of 20 hours of Visual Flight Rules (VFR) cross-country flight time as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on the relevant aircraft category.
