DHC8-100/200/300 Type Rating

The DHC8-100/200/300 Type Rating course is designed to equip pilots with the technical expertise and operational proficiency required for safe and efficient operation of the Dash 8 turboprop aircraft family. The programme combines comprehensive systems instruction with practical simulator-based training, focusing on aircraft handling, performance optimization, abnormal procedures, and crew coordination within a regional airline operational environment.

Special attention is given to turboprop performance management, operation into demanding airfields, adverse weather procedures, and efficient workload management during short-sector operations. Delivered by experienced airline instructors and Type Rating Examiners, the course prepares pilots for real-world regional operations while maintaining full compliance with EASA operational and training standards.

Entry Requirements

Valid ATPL or CPL with ATPL theory credit*
Current ME/IR rating* or holder of other type rating*
Holder of MCC** certificate or 500hrs on Multi Pilot Airplane experience
Valid Class 1 Medical certificate
English Language Proficiency min level 4

Web Based Training (WBT) self-study: 42 hrs
